The last 12 months have been “excellent” for master of hardcore Angerfist. This isn't because he has brutally murdered a class of college kids and drunk their blood, but simply because he has been busy DJing across the Earth — slaying thousands of hardcore fans in the process, metaphorically on the dancefloor. “I've played in many new countries this year, and saw the hardcore crowd growing rapidly around the world,” Angerfist tells DJ Mag. “People are more and more into hard music. That makes me happy.

Angerfist, real name Danny Masseling, has been taking the hard scene by storm over the past decade, ever since his signature 'Raise Your Fist' track on Masters of Hardcore in 2004. With his trademark Friday 13th scary hockey mask, fondness for wielding massive chainsawing riffs and terrifying pummelling doomcore cuts, Angerfist has bludgeoned his way to the top of the hard scene — he is actually the Highest Hardstyle DJ in the Top 100 DJs chart this year. It's a testament to his dedication to the cause, maintaining his ghoulish image throughout all aspects of his artistry.

Angerfist has also spent the year finishing his new album 'The Deadfaced Dimension' — a delightful set of beautific ambient ballads. Not really — it's rammed with 'avin' it 'ardcore monsters, and we wouldn't 'ave it any other way!
