It’s now been 15 years since ATB scored his worldwide smash hit ‘9PM (Til I Come)’ but still the German-born producer and performer is clocking up thousands of air miles, headlining shows from El Salvador to the Republic of Moldova and releasing music that gets downloaded thousands of times. Despite surely having seen it all, though, André Tanneberger still loves what he does.
“When I played the last track at Nature One Festival, Germany, it was one of the most emotional moments of my career,” he beams. “I played one of my ambient piano tracks as the last tune and after two hours of pure dancing, people just closed their eyes and listened. It was fantastic!”

This year also saw ATB release his latest artist album, 'Contact', named in light of him wanting to be as close as possible to the crowd when he plays.
“Whenever I produce an album I want to make something new and extend myself. Still, I have to be careful not to lose my old musical feelings, so the greatest task is to make each album sound new and different without losing my sound.”

Already turning to the studio to record new tracks, looking for new collaborations and still “full of energy and loving what I do”, it seems there is still plenty of life in ATB’s tank yet.
