For trance act Cosmic Gate, 2014 has been all about the release of album number five, ‘Start to Feel’. The record was immediately well-received, allowing the duo to embark on an epic tour, including a bus tour across North America, taking in 16 shows in 13 days. Writing and recording ‘Start to Feel’ also marked an important development for the duo.

“We decided not to follow the usual mainstream EDM path like many others. We got a bit tired of all the tracks that are just based on a so-called ‘drop’! We like that sound too and we play tracks like this in our sets from time-to-time, but when a whole set is based on it or a full scene is just following that road, we wonder why. So we stuck to our roots and produced a progressive trance album.”

Elsewhere, the duo started a weekly radio show, ‘Wake Your Mind’, worked on remixes and even produced material for release in 2015. “As you see, we never stop,” they confirm.
