Fast, hard and relentless. If you’re a fan of hardstyle DJ and Unite Records boss Zatox, you already know what you’re in for when you spin one of his records. Since DJ Mag spoke to him last, Italy’s Gerardo Roschini aka Zatox has tucked yet another year of manic touring under his belt, playing regular sell-out shows in his homeland, as well as headlining 2014 mega events like Dutch hardstyle festival, Defqon.1.

He’s also become the champion of other talented hardstyle hit makers this year — including Drone, Kronos and Typhoon — who have all released on Zatox’s much-lauded Unite Records imprint over the last 12 months.

There’s little doubt that Zatox REALLY loves his genre. “Hardstyle anytime!” he proclaims passionately to DJ Mag when we caught up with him for a chat about this year’s Top 100.

Indeed, the Italian luminary is set to give fans an even bigger and more ballistic slice of banging, hard-edged electronica on 31st October , when he drops his forthcoming ‘New World Order’ LP on legendary hardstyle imprint, Q-dance.

“Releasing my album in October will be my highlight of this year!” he tells DJ Mag. And if we know Zatox, it’s going to be big!
