Heatbeat. It might sound like a nasty rash you pick up from listening to too much electronic music, but in actual fact it’s the moniker of Agustin Servente and Matias Chavez, aka Matias Faint.

Yet another duo making waves in this year’s poll, the Argentines are known for their electro house and electro trance styles, an unlikely — albeit hugely successful — melding of sounds. What’s more, they do so by inserting various Latin-style sections into the tracks, making them instantly identifiable, not to mention perfect for the big room stages that they so often frequent. 

It’s a method of working that’s seen the scene’s bigwigs take notice, and the boys are now signed to Armada, which has naturally enough helped them garner a passionate and widespread fan-base. Added to their unique style is their ability to put a new spin on famous tracks, and the guys are equally as revered for their mash-up skills as they are their quickfire DJing duties.

The last year has been spent remixing Aly & Fila and repping Armada at many of their global events. If that sounds like a lot to take in, it’s all in a day’s work for these Argentine superstars.
