Australian sisters Liv and Mim, aka Nervo, are no strangers to the Top 100, storming into the poll back in 2012 — and they’ve been a permanent fixture ever since. Their hit single ‘Best Friend’ entered the Hot 100 Billboard charts last year, they’ve written and produced for megastars including Kylie Minogue, Afrojack and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and took home a Grammy Award in 2009 for writing ‘When Love Takes Over’ with David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. “We have quite a few upcoming releases that we were working very hard on, so right now all our energy is going into that,” the twins tell DJ Mag.

“We have our residencies and we’re loving throwing our NERVOnation parties around the world. These will definitely carry over into next year along with a whole lot of festivals which we're super-stoked about,” they continue. “Of course it would be nice to win a Grammy, have 10 No.1s, but all in all we’re having a great time and feel very lucky to do music for a living and continue that run into 2020 and beyond!” The rise and rise of Nervo continue.

“Not normally, but we should!”

What more can we do to combat the mental health crisis in our scene?

Are you personally doing anything to improve the gender balance of line-ups?

“We're doing our best trying to rep the ladies.”

What changes have you made this year to be more environmentally friendly?

“We have only local water and paper cups on our rider.”

What was your favourite toy when you were a kid?

“Our real-life guinea pigs!”

What’s your guilty pleasure?

“The Kardashians.”
