From: The Netherlands

DJ style: “Electronic with a lot of energy.”

Best known for: “Bringing big room to the main stage.”

Fave tune of 2022: “Fred again.., Swedish House Mafia & Future ‘Turn Off The Lights Again’.”

Rising star DJ/producer of 2022: “Acraze.”

2022 has been another productive and busy year for Dutch producer/DJ Quintino with a big release on Spinnin’, his misty-eyed monster jam ‘Empty City’, and his low-end-laden ‘Boys With The Bass’ on Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Smash The House label also getting plenty of coverage. His SupersoniQ Records label has had a strong 2022 as well, dropping a series of asteroid-size Quintino festival bouncers, starting with March’s catchy ‘Melody’, May’s epic main-stager ‘No Time’ and a pair of rave-flavoured summer anthems ‘Keep Moving’ and ‘Lowrider’.

When he’s away from the studio Quintino has been slowly getting back into doing more shows and returning to the touring lifestyle, but his most important news of the year is the arrival of a new family member: “Most of all this year has been all about family: I became the proud dad of a beautiful baby boy and I’m currently really just focusing on and enjoying family time!” Awww, congratulations Quintino!

What’s the best DJ set you’ve seen this year?

"Hardwell at Ultra Miami 2022.”

Name one great festival you played for the first time this year…

“Last year I played the Untold main stage for the first time and it was just really insane.”

What’s the longest DJ set you’ve ever played?

“I think my longest set has been around six hours. After my set we did an after-party and just had a great time, just kept playing.”

What’s the next big sound?

“I’m seeing a lot of garage / drum & bass vibes in sets at the moment. So maybe it will be garage / drum & bass.
