DJ style: “Mainstage/future rave/trance/melodic techno.”
Best known for: “‘Do It To It’, ‘Welcome To The Rave’, ‘Party’.”
Aryue kicked off a prolific 2022 with the release of the winter warmer ‘Welcome To The Rave’ on Revealed, a genre-blending slice of dance euphoria that encapsulates his current production goal of “trying a combination of different styles, including future rave, trance, house, hard techno and melodic techno”. He swiftly followed that up with ‘Paralax’ for Revealed’s ‘Miami Sampler 2022’ compilation, and demonstrated his versatility with the emotive, vocal-led trance belter ‘Better Than This’ on In My Opinion. Most recently, his collab track ‘We Fight’ with Voster & Gallardo showed yet another side to the DJ/producer, combining more serene rhythms with an uplifting message of affirmation.
As one of the biggest names on China’s dance music scene, Aryue continued to draw huge audiences across the country and beyond. He also concentrated on his own Dragon Records imprint, dropping the layered, minor key-driven hitter ‘Blue Moon In Silk Road’ with fellow Chinese artist Jamaster A. As for his other main focus in 2022? “Get fit and become a muscle man”, he tells DJ Mag. It’s fair to say that Aryue’s output this year has certainly packed a punch.
