From: Philadelphia, USA
DJ style: High-energy melodies
Best known for: Defying genres, and his helmet
You'd think it would be hard to top a year that saw Marshmello collaborate with Coca-Cola to create a limited edition flavour paying homage to "Marshmello's signature aesthetic" in 2022, but the mask-wearing DJ/producer's relentless work ethic has seen him continue to grow his Mello Gang this year — the affectionate name he uses for his vast number of fans.
As well as playing huge sets at Ultra Music Festival and EDC Las Vegas, Marshmello has released a string of hits including 'Mellokillaz', a collaborative EP with Latin Grammy Award-winning duo Tropkillaz, and 'Esta Vita', with Puerto Rican rapper/singer Farruko. He also dropped a dizzying number of collaborative singles, including 'Other Boys', with Dove Cameron, 'GBG', with Sleepy Hallow, 'Fell In Love', with Brent Faiyaz, and 'Grown Man' with Polo G and Southside. If that wasn't enough, alongside one of the most imaginative merch lines in dance music — including Marshmello mask-themed cross body bags and bucket hats — he also continued to drop teasers and tracks from his long awaited 'Joytime IV' project, including 'Old School', 'Again' and 'Eternal'. But that won't be landing before an entirely separate full-length project he teased is imminent in June. Marshmello simply shows no signs of slowing down.
