The main focus for KAKA this year was overseas shows in Europe, south-east Asia and the US, which included appearances at major music festivals including Amsterdam’s famous ADE, Songkran Music Festival in Thailand and China’s edition of EDC; the latter was a special gig for her on home turf. After three years of COVID-19, KAKA was very happy to make up for lost time this year, she tells DJ Mag: “I missed the fans who had been looking forward to my world tour and hope to have more opportunities to meet everyone in the future.”
At the beginning of the year, KAKA released a new single ‘Can't Stop Us’ on Revealed Radar, a sub-label to Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings specifically for new talent. KAKA also set herself the challenge to produce a tech-house track, the result of which was ‘Bad For You’ which came out via Music Moods, an online platform that defines music by moods rather than genres. Aside from solo productions, KAKA collaborated with Chinese superstar rapper Tan Jianci to remix his single ‘IMMA GET IT’. In the coming year she promises lots more new music and looks forward to meeting more fans on the road.
