Block9 and NYC Downlow hosted a rare London party on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th December, with an all-star cast of selectors including Prosumer, The Black Madonna, Honey Dijon, Gideön, Jason Kendig, Dungeon Meat and Hannah Holland.
Taking place at Block9’s new HQ at The Silver Building, which lies between the Royal Docks and Silvertown, the party brought the energy and return to house music roots ethos the collective takes to Glastonbury every summer, but tailored it perfectly to an industrial environment.
Melt! Festival revealed the first wave of talents that will be performing during the German event’s 21st edition. Nina Kraviz, Ben Klock, The Black Madonna and Ellen Allien will be among the DJs performing.
Jon Hopkins, Honey Dijon and Amelie Lens will also be joining festival headliners The xx, Florence + The Machine and Tyler, The Creator.
Melt! runs 13th through 15th July at the Ferropolis open-air museum. DJ Mag will report on the subsequent artist releases as they arrive.
