The Ibiza Government has announced that clubs will not reopen this summer, according to reports.
Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa have announced they will remain closed for July following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coming after the reveal of opening parties at some of the open-air Ibiza venues and hotels — including Pikes, Ibiza Rocks, and Ocean Beach — Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa have shared that they will not be opening their doors when travel restrictions are lifted next month.
Ibiza clubs Hï and Ushuaïa have officially cancelled all scheduled parties for May 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement released today (21st April,) the clubs, which are both run by The Night League, confirmed that the first month of their party season would not go ahead as planned.
Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa will kick off the 2020 Ibiza season with a 24-hour party in May.
Taking place on the 9th & 10th May, Odyssey will take over both of the Playa d'en Bossa venues from midday Saturday until midday Sunday, giving clubbers access to both venues for 12 hours each.
Live act Âme will be performing at the marathon, alongside Ukrainian techno duo ARTBAT. KNTXT label boss Charlotte de Witte, and imprint affiliate Chris Liebing, are also billed on the line-up, as well as FJAAK and Ellum Audio honcho, Maceo Plex.
Following the launch of new 24-hour party concept Odyssey this year, two day-to-night events have been announced for Ibiza’s opening and closing in 2020.
The Night League – the team behind Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza – have announced an opening party for 9th May next year, kicking off at the iconic Ushuaïa from midday to midnight.
At the stroke of 12, partygoers will move across the road to superclub Hï Ibiza until midday on Sunday.
