Lost Frequencies and Salvatore Ganacci join line-up for AMF Festival
Lost Frequencies and Salvatore Ganacci have been locked for this year's AMF Festival, one of the key dates in the mammoth ADE diary.
Set to take place on Saturday 20th October at the Johan Cruijff Arena (formerly Amsterdam Arena), the artist will join the previously announced David Guetta and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who are the Two Is One performers for 2018. Also locked to play are KSHMR, W&W and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano.
Tiësto and KSHMR endorse new bass-heavy synth
Tiësto and KSHMR have endorsed a new Kontakt instrument designed to create mainroom and EDM-style basslines and bass sounds. GETLOW is a new sample instrument from 7Skies and is built to create modulating and powerful basslines for club tracks. Sampled from analogue synths, it features multiple oscillators, FX, arpeggiator, a ‘Fat’ section for beefing up your sound and lots more. Watch the video below to hear it in action.
Splice raises $35m in funding
Splice has raised $35m in funding and has paid artists $5m in revenue since it began operating in 2013. The music creation platform and sample-sharing service allows users to collaborate, share sounds and preview individual samples one by one, purchasing them using special Credits.

Martin Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS teases new music: WATCH
Martin Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS has left the EDM world guessing after posting a teaser for a new release on Instagram, with very little by way of information regarding what the track or project actually is.
The clip appeared yesterday (7th November), and lasts for just 14-seconds. That's long enough to garner plenty of attention, though, with the biggest questions being asked about the script in the centre of the frame.
Musically, the sounds clearly reference Asia, and specifically India, with several comments suggesting the text is actually Hindi for 'sapera', or 'charmer'.
Ultra Australia locks Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Afrojack, Will Sparks and more
Ultra Australia has locked Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Afrojack as the debut event’s headliners. The one-day Road to Ultra event occurs 24th February at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
KSHMR, fresh off his Indian tour, has been announced as part of the line-up. Carnage, Andrew Rayel, Moe, Tigerlily B2B Mashd N Kutcher, Timmy Trumpet, and Will Sparks complete the bill.

KSHMR was the focus of a 30th October Masterclass at Mumbai, India’s Lost Series Academy. Supported by Sunburn Music Festival, the event included panels for aspiring musicians, managers, and visual jockeys.
KSHMR wins DJ Mag Top 100 DJs 2017 highest AV act
KSHMR has won the highest audio-visual act award at the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs 2017 ceremony after landing 12th overall in the chart.
The US producer has had quite the few years since his first release, ‘Megalodon’, catapulted him into the spotlight. Breaking into the Top 100 DJs 2015 list in serious style, debuting at No.23, he hasn’t looked back since.
