Bamao Yendé will release a new EP, ‘Polizia Romantico’, later this month. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Tornado 360’ below.

On the heels of 2023’s boisterous ‘TXI TXI’ EP, the Paris-based DJ and producer serves up a new hip-swinging suite of bass, garage and afrobeats baked in a romantic R&B glow. Flexing his chops across five silky new cuts, Yendé flirts with a warmer and more sentimental sound, fusing his trademark hyperkinetic rhythms and twisted FX with sumptuous synth pads and vocal-led melodies.

Yendé’s chopped-up vox forms the percussive backbone of opener ‘Time Will Tell’ – a sultry and spectral slice of new-age R&B – whilst punchy Afrobeats eddy alongside elegant synths on cuts like ‘Tornado 360’ and ‘Sentimientos Bandidos’.

‘Polizia Romantico’ lands 30th April on Yendé’s own Boukan Records imprint – home to his 2022 debut album, ‘RDV Discoteca’, as well as releases from Amor Satyr, Dadifox, Mixbwé, and more.

‘Polizia Romantico’ is out 30th April via Boukan Records. Pre-save the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Tornado 360’ below.
