Premiere: NIKS ‘Stomp the Grid (feat. Or:la)’

NIKS will release her debut EP, 'Milieu', this month on Or:la's Céad label. 

After spending the past couple of years honing her skills at a host of global clubs and festivals, the DJ and Black Artist Database co-founder demonstrates her dancefloor expertise across these four tracks. ‘V2B’ bursts into action with flailing layers of kickdrums, cowbells, claps and vocal snatches. ‘And Chill’ stays in the house pocket, its buoyant bass and glitchy mantra setting a playful, body-moving pace that DJs will relish in mixing. 

‘Sequences’ winds things down with a slice of Balearic dub, before Or:la joins in for the closing collab: a bass-soaked snapper with a marching percussive bite. 

The EP follows the release of NIKS’ 'Riding Senses' single in October 2023. Her debut track 'Badness, Can't Work' landed last summer as part of the B.A.D label's inaugural compilation 'Synergy Vol. 1'.
