Conducta announces end of Kiwi Rekords

Conducta has announced the closure of his Kiwi Rekords label after five years. In a statement shared to social media, the UKG star said that "now feels like the right time for me to step aside and press pause on the label."

A closing party has been confirmed for later this week, set to take place at London’s Night Tales Loft on 28th April.

in his statement, the former DJ Mag cover star wrote: “Kiwi Gang, 5 years ago the mission of the label was to create a community and contribute to a healthy eco system for the music we all love that is UK garage.”

“We wanted to steer away from nostalgia & platform producers pushing a new sound forward. Our journey has been incredible, the support and enthusiasm from day one has been immense. The various accolades and awards, press, festival takeovers & great music have been possible due to the amazing artists who have seen Kiwi as a home for their music & all of your unwavering support.”

“It’s been a real privilege to have run the label and have had an impact on so many people. Today the scene is a vibrant worldwide community & with that being said we feel our mission has been accomplished. Now feels like the right time for me to step aside and press pause on the label. The music will live on and the memories will stay but for now there will be no new forthcoming music on Kiwi Rekords.”

Established in 2019, Kiwi Rekords has been a leading force in the garage revival of recent years, releasing UKG tracks from artists such as Jack Junior, Sharda, Sammy Virji, Oppidan, Hamdi, Prescribe Da Vibe, and Conducta himself.

Last year, Conducta shared his new EP, ‘In Transit’ on Kiwi Rekords and Supernature. The long-awaited release from the Bristol-born NUKG producer – which featured appearances from Novelist, Paul Stephan, and BIJI – will mark the last release on the imprint.

Winner of the Breakthrough Label category at the DJ Mag Best Of British Awards back in 2020, Kiwi Rekords has thrown countless parties under the moniker Klub Kiwi across the UK over the past few years – hitting cities like Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Plymouth, Birmingham, London, and more.
