New Ibiza club to open at former Sankeys site

Ibiza is getting a new club, which will be located at the former site of Sankeys.

The new 1,500 capacity venue, Avyca, will open sometime this summer, with no official launch date publicly revealed just yet. The venue announced news of its forthcoming opening via an Instagram post featuring a teaser trailer and the caption: "Chapter one".

Located in the Playa d'en Bossa area of the White Isle, the site was home to Sankeys from 2011 until it closed in 2018. The space has laid empty since and has been newly refurbished ready for its reopening this summer.

The team behind Avyca have signalled intentions to focus on rising talent with regards to the music programming, with house and techno set to be heavily represented.

At the end of 2023, Avyca ran two trial events for its official opening. The first event featured the likes of Ferro and Tania Vulcano, while Voigtmann and others appeared on the line-up for the second event.
