DJ style: “Melodic and progressive deep house.”

Best known for: “‘Where Are You Now’ charting all over the world in 2022-23.”

It’s been a whirlwind couple of years for Belgian producer and DJ Lost Frequencies, aka Felix De Laet. Following the success of his tropical house tune ‘Where Are You Now’ featuring British singer and songwriter Calum Scott in 2021 (which recently clocked up one billion plays on Spotify), the 29-year-old has graced several festival main stages, including Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Lollapalooza Berlin, Neversea Festival and many more.

Known to collaborate with many artists throughout his nine-year tenure, Lost Frequencies’ track ‘DIVE’ featuring UK singer Tom Gregory went down a storm on the festival circuit, and the same goes for his country-meets-electronic hit ‘The Feeling’, with vocals performed by Bonn. Then, there was his collaboration with French rapper, songwriter, film director and actor Orelsan. Lost Frequencies — a longtime fan of the renowned artist — performed the live edit of Orelsan’s track ‘Jour Meilleur’ with Orelsan himself at the Main Square Festival at Citadelle Vauban d’Arras, France.

In September, Lost Frequencies blocked off the month to work on his album, eagerly awaited by fans since his previous LP ‘Less Is More’ on Armada in 2016. In the meantime, his calendar remains as busy as ever, kicking off November in Las Vegas’ luxury Marquee Nightclub.

What was the most exciting tech development of 2023? “I think it’s exciting to see what impact AI will have on creating music over the next few years.”

Rising star DJ/producer of 2023? “You can’t deny the amazing rise of Fred again.. in the last year. What an ascension.”

What gives you hope for 2024? “Releasing new music and developing my project even more.”
