Between 4th June and 24th September Pyramid has seen a wealth of serious house and techno talent turn up and do the business. That means Ben Klock, Ricardo Villalobos, a full Diynamic contingency, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz and Helena Hauff have all graced the venue, to name but a few.

Now the dust has settled for 2018 we asked ten guests and residents to select one track each that defines the sound of the first Pyramid season. Featuring our former DJ Mag UK cover star Charlotte de Witte, Mathias Kaden, Luigi Madonna, Darius Syrossian, Cuartero and Djebali, amongst others, check their selections below.

"Pyramid isn’t defined just by music, it’s a spirit, a unique vibe, a wonderful friendly crowd and a full range of artists. 100 different cuts could soundtrack Pyramid parties but if I have to pick only one, I’d select the remix I did for DJ Pierre which was played during the B2B set between Ricardo Villalobos & Luciano on the terrace earlier in the season!"

"It was great on the terrace when I played for Pyramid and the production was unbelievable, I remember playing this right in the middle of my set to a full room and there was a dancer on the podium in the middle of a huge pyramid created by lasers! It was a special moment and this track was perfect for it."

Chris Wood & Christian Burkhardt - 'Bed and Butter' (Einzelkind Iceberg Slim Megamix)

"I played this one at the opening party of Pyramid, during my warm up set. It's a super-original track— four tracks in one, so this is why it's called 'megamix'! This track represents every soul of Pyramid, so it's 100% Ibiza! Because our purpose is to bring the real Ibiza back.

"It goes from house to techno to breakbeat and then class house at the end, that’s Pyramid! That’s the real Balearic sound of Ibiza, and this is where we want to go. Everyone expressing themselves without any limit, without any law, the only law is the music. Ricardo Villalobos also played this track in his last set at Pyramid, one week ago. I heard him mixing it and thought...yess yessss that’s Pyramid!”
