The 20th anniversary of Kevin & Perry Go Large will be celebrated in Ibiza.
Released in 2000, the film featured screenplay writer Harry Enfield, who played Kevin, alongside Perry, portrayed by Kathy Burke, on their first holiday to the white isle to meet fictional superstar DJ, Eyeball Paul.
Famed for its soundtrack and the club scenes filmed in Ibiza's Amnesia, the 20th anniversary will be celebrated back in the superclub, with an exclusive screening of the film followed by a rave.
A new book exploring the earlier years of Ibiza's clubbing scene is set to be published next year by Test Pressing.
'Ibiza DJs 1976 - 1988' focuses on club culture on the White Isle through the '70s and '80s through the lens of some of its key DJs, including Amnesia’s DJ Alfredo and Leo Mas, Cirillo from Amnesia, Pacha and Space, DJ Carlos from the now-closed Nito’s & Pacha, Joan Ribas from Pacha and Patrick Michaut of now-closed after hours haven Glory’s. Why did you put together a live show instead of DJing?
"I've never played as a DJ. I had a classical education, I studied guitar and I grew up in a family of musicians, then I started to play in different bands, different genres: nu metal, indie, electronic, folk — I like many kinds of music and I started to play melodic techno music just four years ago. I have always been fascinated by music composition and I like to play different instruments, so for these reasons the live set is the perfect way to express myself.”
Between 4th June and 24th September Pyramid has seen a wealth of serious house and techno talent turn up and do the business. That means Ben Klock, Ricardo Villalobos, a full Diynamic contingency, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz and Helena Hauff have all graced the venue, to name but a few.
Party brand Elrow have unveiled a brand new immersive theme and line-up for their 2018 Ibiza closing party.
Entitled Planet Row, the end of season bash will feature a futuristic outer space theme with a massive line-up including Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, Claptone, wAFF b2b De La Swing, George Privatti and Tini Gessler.
Billed as a "non-stop party", Planet Elrow takes place in the year 3135 when Earth and all the other planets have disappeared.
Carl Craig and Paco Osuna are confirmed to play Marco Carola’s Music On day show in Ibiza this weekend.
The party is set for El Patio, Playa d'en Bossa, on Saturday 1st September, running from 4PM through to midnight, with Fer BR and Proudly People also set to make appearances.
