Deadmau5 reveals he’s making his own first-person shooter video game

Check out footage from an early prototype...

It’s no secret that Deadmau5 is a big gamer, he regularly streams games of PUBG and even has some cosmetic items on Rocket League — so it’ll come as no surprise that he’s developing his own first-person shooter.

His own game, which is being developed on the popular Unreal Engine, is currently in alpha testing phase, according to the producer.

The outspoken Canadian producer recently revealed that he plans to open his own LAN/gaming centre in Canada where gamers can come and play games with him, too.

Zimmerman shared the first footage of the game which was captured during one of his Twitch live streams.

He said he's "making great progress with the team," but reiterated that the game is "a pet project" and to "give us a year at least" before it might see the light of day.

Zimmerman went on to share more about the development of the game via Reddit: “We’re just setting up some basic mechanics, getting a space together where we can jam out in an arena of sorts and spitball ideas...once we’ve agreed on that and nailed in network code and server delegation, we head down the ‘fun and original secondary objective’ route."

The Canadian producer recently released a new orchestral album based on some of his most iconic music.
