Goldie reveals new project, Subjective, shares track: Listen

Goldie teams up with James Davidson for something brand new...

Goldie has announced his brand new project, Subjective. You can hear the first single, 'Inkolelo', below.

The project is a collaborative effort with revered engineer and producer James Davidson, who also worked on Goldie’s 2017 album ‘The Journey Man’.  The pair will release an album 'Act One – Music For Inanimate Objects', in September.

Speaking of the collaboration, Goldie said, “It was really exciting to have no boundaries on what we were writing, not restricted by the BPM or anything else - we just went wherever the smiles were”.

'Inkolelo' was initially shared in December last year as part of Beating Heart Project's South Africa Compilation which saw numerous UK producers sampling field recordings made by Hugh Tracy in the 1950s across the continent Africa. All proceeds from the compilation, as with Beating Heart Project's other ventures, went toward charitable causes in the area from the Women’s Legal Centre to Grahamstown’s Access Music Project

'Act One – Music For Inanimate Objects' drops on 21st September via Sony Music Masterworks.

Back in March, Goldie appeared in court via Facetime from his home in Thailand, pleading guilty to the assault of a security guard at last year’s Glastonbury festival. He was subsequently fined £2,463.
