WIN TICKETS AND MORE TO SECRET SOLSTICE FESTIVAL!

Ticket giveaway to amazing dance fest in Reykjavik!

Iceland is well-known for its vibrant music scene, birthing such iconic acts as Björk, Gus Gus, Sigur Ros, FM Belfast and Múm. It's a top festival destination, too, with a few cool fests vying for revellers' attention. But brand-new event Secret Solstice, taking place for the first time this year between 20th-22nd June in the capital Reykjavik, looks like it might just take the crown for the country's finest knees-up.

First there's the sterling line-up, a dedicated dance nut's dream taking in all areas of the underground spectrum. Bristolian trip-hop dons Massive Attack headline, techno is taken care of by Carl Craig, Boddika and Paul Woolford, house heads will go loopy for Kerri Chandler, Eats Everything, Jackmaster, Waze & Odyssey, Ben Pearce and Damian Lazarus, while bassier sounds are locked down by Oneman, Skream, My Nu Leng, Klose One and more, and that's just a small sample.  That's right, world class. And there's plenty of local acts playing too.

Then, there's the location. Springing up in the Laugardalur recreational area of Reykjavik, it's a large green space of fields dotted with a big public swimming pool, camping area, botanical garden and even a zoo. At this time of year in the Arctic Circle, the sun barely sets, making for mega long days and super fun in the midnight sun. It's unique. Tickets are available from their website now — a regular three-day pass costs 19,900 ISK (the equivalent of £106 at the time of writing).
