Massive Attack, Young Fathers, Fontaines D.C. release vinyl and art print in support of Doctors Without Borders in Gaza

Massive Attack, Young Fathers, Fontaines D.C. have clubbed together to create a vinyl and art print in support of charity Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and their emergency operations in Gaza.
With a ceasefire sleeve design by Massive Attack's 3D, the 12” release features music from all three aforementioned artists. The reverse sleeve of the 12” includes the now-viral words poignantly written on a whiteboard at Gaza's Al Awda Hospital by the late Doctors Without Borders medic Dr Mahmoud Abu Nujaila, who was tragically killed in a strike a few weeks later on 21st November.
The charity release also includes a limited-edition large print of the sleeve artwork.
"The hourly scenes of horror in Gaza, with hospitals and schools bombed to dust and innocent civilians, journalists and doctors killed in unspeakable numbers has been made so much worse by more than ten weeks of abject political failure," said Massive Attack's 3D.
He continued: "We're in awe of the Doctors Without Borders medics who place their lives on the line to help innocent civilians in Gaza. The ceasefire EP is a tribute to them, and their incredible ongoing work in truly indescribable circumstances. We stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine."
Pre-order a copy of the vinyl from Bandcamp here. Orders will be sent using different combinations of coloured vinyl and sleeves, which have been selected at random. The limited-edition print will be available to buy from tomorrow (22nd December).
100% of the profits will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières, with the total expected to eclipse the £150,000 mark.
The Gaza Health Ministry reports that nearly 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in ground and air assaults since 7th October, including thousands of children. Nearly two million people have already been displaced by from their homes.
Earlier this month, a new open letter calling for a ceasefire in Gaza has been launched by Australian nightlife venues and workers. The Nightlife For A Free Palestine letter includes venue owners, promoters, hospitality workers, and artists from across Australia’s nightlife community.
In November, over 4000 musicians signed an open letter calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, including electronic music artists and DJs such as Ben UFO, Kode9, Jamz Supernova, Brian Eno, The Blessed Madonna and I. JORDAN.
At the beginning of December, drum & bass collective EQ50 released a new compilation to raise money for charitable projects working inside Palestine.
