Tune of the year:
Mord Fustang ‘Taito’
Breakthrough DJ/producer of 2015:
What’s the most important skill a DJ should have?:
I think the most important thing is to be able to read and understand the crowd. If they like it and I like it, then we’ll have a great time!
Is the future still bright for EDM?:
Every year I’m like okay, we’re on the peak now, from now on it’s just downhill. But it hasn’t stopped yet, it is just getting bigger and bigger.
Does the constant travelling and DJ lifestyle ever take its toll on you mentally?:
Traveling is super-exhausting and can really take a lot of your strength. At the same time, however, it does inspire me a lot as well. Most of my ideas I create are on tour.
What cause is closest to your heart?:
Something I’d really like to change is the war in the world and the results of it, seeing so many people flee their countries, because they are hunted for their religion or something else.
Which club would you like to bring back from the dead?:
There was this amazing club in Germany called Cocoon in Frankfurt. It closed down before I had the chance to play there.
Why aren’t there more women in the Top 100 DJs poll?:
I wish there would be more famous women behind the decks and in the studio. I’m a huge Nora En Pure fan, she's amazing.
What do you think of DJs who use ghost producers?:
Not a big fan. I feel like, if I’m a fan of someone for his music and his concerts, to then find out later it’s not his or her own stuff, I would be really disappointed.
