Premiere: Eli Escobar ‘Something Inside Of Me’

New York’s Eli Escobar steps up on Phonica Records with four cuts of stomping sample-filled house

Eli Escobar will release a new EP, ‘Find A Way’, via London’s Phonica Records this week.

The longstanding New York DJ injects decades of experience into four cuts of stomping sample-filled house music here, with flourishes of ‘80s electro-funk, Detroit techno, disco and classic East Coast hip-hop nestling perfectly into his dancefloor-focused grooves. Brass, B-Boy and soulful vocal samples loop around buoyant keys and crunchy percussion. There’s an classic, intuitive flow to these house tracks that can only come from an artist who knows their shit like Escobar does – this release is another gem in his already well-jewelled catalogue.

Listen to ‘Something Inside Of Me’ from the EP below, ahead of its full release this Friday (25th March). Pre-order it on 12” via Phonica.
