Premiere: Klahrk ‘Faux (ft. Ludwig Wandinger)’

London’s Klahrk hybridises breakbeat, braindance and spluttering drum & bass on his long-awaited return to SFX

Klahrk will release a new six-track EP, ‘Blistering’, later this month via SFX. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Faux (ft. Ludwig Wandinger)’ below.

Returning to the label where he unleashed his breakneck ‘Oscillate and Shimmer’ LP back in 2022, London-based DJ and producer Klahrk continues to innovate around his nimble, neuro-influenced sound.

On ‘Blistering’ – the latest manifestation of these experiments – the Ware Collective boss hybridises elements of frenetic breakbeat and braindance with lurching, sputtering drum & bass for a listening experience that veers on hyperkinetic delirium.

From the elusive, ever-changing rhythms of ‘Go Go Go’ and foggy synthscapes of ‘Faux (ft. Ludwig Wandinger)’ to the downright dizzying ‘&3&4’, where fluttering arpeggiation acts as both melody and rhythm, its a project that tickles all the right synapses.

Over on the flip, Bogota-based producer CRRDR and Worst Behavior Recs’ Bell Curve deliver suitably head-scrambling remixes with added club-ready heft. Bosh!

Klahrk will headline the debut SFX.IRL club night in Berlin next month (4th April), alongside DJ sets from CRRDR, Zoë Mc Pherson, Marylou, Jessica Ekomane and STEEZY. Tickets are still available here.

‘Blistering’ is out 22nd March via SFX. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Faux (ft. Ludwig Wandinger)’ below.
