The Montreal-based DJ and producer chases releases for London’s TrybesOf and Get Physical offshoot Kindisch with a slab of deep emotive dance music. Recorded atop a scenic rooftop during a surprise afterparty set, ‘Hidden Gem’ is packed with all the cartwheeling hooks, warm, analogue pads, and brooding kick drums for maximum late-night stargazing.
The cut marks the first release on Oliver’s newly-minted label, Slapped Records – a nucleus for melodic house sounds on Canada’s East Coast and beyond. It also featured as part of the artist’s latest livestream (which can be watched in full here), alongside an hour of equally hypnotic original and unreleased tunes.
