Strict Face will release a new EP, ‘Thirst For Nerve’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Poison Finish’ below.

Coming off the back of releases for Local Action, Gobstopper and NLV Records, the Australian DJ and producer returns to his own SLG International imprint with a suite of serrated percussive weapons. Across its four cuts, Strict Face reaches ever deeper into his arsenal of drum-focused sounds fine-tuned for maximum dancefloor impact.

The delirious ‘Sin Drum’ kicks things off in a flurry of syncopated drums and rollicking techno grooves, before ‘Instant Swelter’ descends into breakbeat mania with pointillistic rhythms swooping through pillars of precision-tooled bass.

‘Poison Finish’ is the EP’s standout track: a dark, galloping groover, with a tough metallic beat and charged-up bassline. Have an exclusive first listen below.

‘Thirst For Nerve’ is set for release on 1st March. Pre-order the EP here.
