London's Boudica label launches with four full-throttle techno cuts from Samantha Togni, Nur Jaber, Wanton Witch and Femanyst

Premiere: Wanton Witch ‘Pai Khao San Mai’

London party and platform Boudica launches its new vinyl label this month with a four-track V/A EP, ‘Pure Bones’. Listen to Wanton Witch’s track, ‘Pai Khao San Mai’, below.

Originating as Boudica Music Conference in 2020, the platform strives to “give visibility to women, trans+ and non-binary artists”. Evolving into a regular event series, Boudica holds a residency at The Pickle Factory in London and has also appeared in clubs such as The Cause, E1 and Electrowerkz.

Now, Boudica’s label arm launches with a collection of high-energy techno, charged with industrial energy and brimming with experimental flair. Boudica founder Samantha Togni launches the EP with the title track, which features a recorded poem from Alejandra Muñoz, who sets the tone for the release: “Through community we find each other. We learn and evolve through each other’s expression of honesty...In queer nightlife it feels like all of a sudden you’re able to become much more than what you thought it was possible.”

Berlin mainstays Nur Jaber and Femanyst serve up full-throttle cuts, while Wanton Witch closes the EP  with plucked melodies and maximal trance sonics on top of a driving, gabber-ish beat.

‘Pure Bones’ will be released on 22nd July. Pre-order it here

Boudica Music Conference will return to London’s Freemasons Hall on August 7th, with a free stream of the event taking place on 21st. This year’s edition is hosting 8 panels in collaboration with Featured Artist Coalition, Music Manager Forum, Musicians Union, more leading music organisations & London LGBTQIA+ and marginalised music platforms.
