Premiere: Yetsuby ‘Maxilogue: Potion, Materials’

Salamanda’s Yetsuby enriches her blissful, starry-eyed electronics with a deeper hidden layer of emotion on her debut EP for all my thoughts

Yetsuby will release a new mini LP, ‘b_b’, later this month on Seb Wildblood’s all my thoughts label. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Maxilogue: Potion, Materials’ below.

The Seoul-born producer and DJ’s latest solo offering finds her re-entering into the soundworld first established on 2019’s ‘Heptaprism’, and most recently augmented on last summer’s ‘Water Flash’ EP on Third Place. Here, blissful, starry-eyed electronics and dexterous percussion intumesce across six celestial compositions, all enriched with a deeper hidden layer of emotion.

Speaking on the deeply personal project, Yetsuby shared: “I want to put comfort into the music and give some message to people who blame themselves.”

‘b_b’ marks the eight solo release from Yetsuby – who has released four albums in three years as one half of Seoul-based production duo Salamanda – and illuminates her eccentric and experienced ear for sound. From the mysterious melodies of opener ‘Who Swallowed The Chimes At The Random Place’ and sophisticated percussion of ‘1,2,3 Soleil’, to the carefully tucked brass sections and orchestral ambient fibres of (our pick) ‘Maxilogue: Potion, Materials’.

The project arrives via Seb Wildblood’s all my thoughts imprint, which has carved out paths to success for some of electronic music’s finest up-and-comers including Cameo Blush, Tom VR, mauv and more. The label is also home to Wildblood’s own blissful electronics, including his recent two-tracker with Kali Mija, ‘NEVER LOOK DOWN’.

‘b_b’ is out 21st June via all my thoughts. Pre-order the mini LP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Maxilogue: Potion, Materials’ below.
