New York-based Japanese DJ/producer Aiko Morita will release her new EP ‘In The Aquarium’ on Nordic Trax on 30th November.
An active member of Osaka and Tokyo’s underground electronic scenes since 2004, Morita moved to New York in 2016 and has since released EPs on labels including King Street, Nite Grooves, Fuente Music, Hotbox Music, Hot Digits Music, Chikyu-u Records and Childsplay.
Now, the deep house purveyor readies her next outing on Vancouver label Nordic Trax with four absorbing tracks replete with warm synths, lush melodic loops and cantering cantering percussion. The EP comes with East Coast deep house stalwart Pete Moss.
‘Second Banana’ is an idyllic end to the release with crisp synth swells and a swerving groove. Check it out below.
