Dan Shake will release his ‘Freak’ EP via his own Shake label on 22nd April.
Since debuting on Moodymann’s Mahogani Music in 2014, the London-based DJ/producer has developed quite the reputation thanks to his boisterous take on disco and house fusion. Now he’s readying his latest 12” outing, comprised of two riotous cuts of dancefloor heat with clattering percussion and razor-sharp bass and vocal sampling.
The title track adds a healthy dose of acid into the mix, elevating the track to rapturous heights and ensuring that it will work on dancefloor’s of all sizes and styles. Check it out below.
On the B-side, ‘Can’t Take It’ is an equally joyous affair, with soulful vocal, string and brass samples bouncing on top of an irresitably incendiary groove.
