Premiere: La Fleur ‘Hunting Grounds’

La Fleur returns to her own Power Plant Records with the ‘Aphelion’ EP. Hear the fleet-footed, vocoder fuelled techno cut ‘Hunting Grounds’ now...

La Fleur will release her first EP on her own Power Plant Records since 2017, ‘Aphelion’, on 15th March.

Following for former Watergate resident's ‘Outbreaker’ EP in May 2018 and the 'Förbindelse' EP on Last Night On Earth in October, the Swedish-born, Berlin-based artist launches into 2019 a fiery new two-tracker. A fierce statement of intent to commence what she promises to be a prolific release schedule from here on out, the revered DJ/producer has described her ethos in reaching this point as a patient one...

“I wanted to take a step back and really think about what I wanted to do with the label and allow the project to take shape naturally, so it took some time,” she says. “I’m excited to begin a new era for Power Plant, focusing on fresh artists and label events and deeper sound explorations. There are no limits or boundaries!”

The track ‘Hunting Grounds’ – which you can hear below – is a killer re-introduction, with a bouncy, playful vocoder vox hook carrying the track along with its tough melodic techno backdrop. “I wanted to create an atmosphere of being in the wilderness and evoke a sense of open space,” she explains.
