Premiere: Lady Blacktronika ‘How I Learned’

House innovator Lady Blacktronika readies her 11-track collection ‘Wax Cylinder Only’ on Meda Fury. ‘How I Learned’ is a crisp, deep cut of classic Chicago groove…

Lady Blacktronika will release her ‘Wax Cylinder Only’ collection on 19th October via Meda Fury.

The longstanding San Jose-born, Berlin-based house innovator follows up last year’s ‘A Lonely Space Program’ LP on Skylax sub-label Skylax Extra Series with this 11-track double pack of new productions and older digital tracks that never had a vinyl release.

Lady Blacktronika, who has released under  monikers such as Femanyst and Haze n' Adaeze on labels including Paula Temple's Noise Manifesto and her own Cocaine Recordings and Sound Black Recordings, has been nothing if not prolific since moved from being a vocalist to DJ/producer.

Released on double 12”,  ‘Wax Cylinder Only’ showcases Lady Blacktronika’s innate ability to craft a dancefloor demolishing track that retains a deep, classic atmosphere. And this hasn’t gone unnoticed, with tracks from this released getting early support from the likes of Josey Rebelle, Skream, Honey Dijon, Asquith, Moxie, Shadowchild and Violet.
