Mehmet Aslan will release a new EP in November.
Following releases on Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant label, Bobby Pleasure's Needs (not-for-profit), and For Disco Only, as well as his 'Horonizer' EP for Huntley & Palmers' Highlife series in July this year, the Swiss-born Turkish artist will release his new EP, 'Lobster Is Coincidence', via Planisphere Music.
Comprised of two, dancefloor-ready cuts, as well as the title track, which serves as more of a club tool, Aslan weaves in and out of hypnotic grooves, heady textures and sporadic percussion to create a driving atmosphere. On opener 'Comme II Faut', the producer layers minimal beats with stuttered vocals and dizzying samples for a hazy club experience.
