Premiere: Tracey 'Mind Powder'

Aus Music’s first release of 2019 comes from Tracey. Hear the fast-paced gossamer house cut, ‘Mind Powder’ now…

First up on Will Saul’s ever-consistent Aus Music this year is Tracey’s 'Metamorphosis' EP.

Set for release this Friday 2nd February, Tracey – Tom Ruijg – steps up with four typically vibrant cuts of gossamer, sparkling house and warm electro. Following his kaleidoscopic ‘Outcome’ EP on Midland’s Intergraded label last August, this latest offering is another gem from the emerging Amsterdam-based producer.

Proceedings commence with the title track, a spritely IDM-nodding house turn which sets the tone for the rest of the EP. ‘Blue Invasion’ and ‘Helix’ both find Ruijg in rhythmic electro territory wirth swirling melodic patterns and playful bass grooves keeping things light.

Below, you can hear the EP’s closer, ‘Mind Powder’. A fast-paced beat props up a warm, bubbling melodic motif to make for a superb dancefloor palate cleanser or a dreamy headphone excursion.
