Verknipt ArenA, a new 40,000-capacity all-night hard techno event, has been announced for Amsterdam's Johan Cruijff ArenA next year.

Set to take place on 20th July 2024, the mammoth show, billed as the "world's biggest hard techno rave", will run for 10 hours from 9PM to 7AM, and is the brainchild of Verknipt. The Dutch party series began in 2012, and has since expanded into the festival space, with an annual event in Utrecht.

“Over the past three years we’ve truly seen a movement come up in the techno scene and we’re extremely excited about Verknipt’s leading role within it," said Verknipt founder Mer Hajbarati. “If you would’ve suggested a hard techno stadium show three years ago, you would’ve been laughed out of the room. But look at us now.”

While the ArenA line-up is yet to be unveiled pre-registration is already open for tickets, which are available at 2PM CET on Saturday 25th October. General release then go on sale at the same time one day later.

This month will see Verknipt host four events as part of ADE 2023, taking over United Studios (18th and 19th October), World Fashion Centre (20th October), and AFAS Live (22nd October). Fatima Hajji, Shlømo, BLK, and Juliet Fox are among the artists confirmed to play over the course of the triple-header. The Johan Cruijff ArenA will also host an element of ADE when AMF Festival, and annual fixture, returns next week (21st October).
