New music from ABBA is reportedly coming this year.
In a clip posted by the unofficial Twitter account ABBAtalk last week, Benny Andersson, who makes up the iconic '70s quartet ABBA alongside Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, answered questions from reporters regarding new material. Speaking in his native Swedish, Andersson is asked where are the new songs that have been promised "for such a long time."
"They're coming, I'm guessing after the summer," Andersson says. "But I can only guess, because I'm not really sure. But I would think so." He is then asked if he can promise the new material will arrive this year, and responds that "one shouldn't promise anything, but if I were to decide myself, it would be September."
"I can't make that decision alone," he continues. "But that's what we're aiming for."
