Ableton's LOOP announces first names for 2020 event

The summit has returned to Berlin for the new year at a new location

Ableton's LOOP summit has announced the first speakers for its return to Berlin in April 2020. After spending one year in LA, and having an off-year in 2019, the popular creative conference curated by the even more popular makers of Live is upping sticks from Funkhaus and moving to Silent Green Kulturquartier and the adjoining contemporary art spaces Savvy, Ebensperger Rhomberg and Luxoom Lab on April 24th to 26th.

They've now announced the first names of speakers, including US-based audio engineer Sylvia Massy who has worked with acts including Johnny Cash, REM and Tool while Mexican duo Sotomayor will share the art of sampling and UK-based quartet Ex-Easter Island Head will host a Music Improv Session, based around their instruments-as-percussion approach to performance. Also set to appear at the event are the likes of Colin Self and one of DJ Mag's 2019 artists to watch, Deena Abdelwahed

Though it was initially announced registration would close on Oct 1st, it's still open on the Ableton website for those wanting to get tickets.
