Actress announces new EP, 'Dummy Corporation', on Ninja Tune, shares single: Listen
The four-track EP includes one cut that clocks in at 19 minutes
Actress has shared details of a new EP, called 'Dummy Corporation'.
Set for release on 11th November via his longtime label home of Ninja Tune, the new record takes in four tracks, including the 19-minute title cut and Detroit-influenced lead single, 'Dream', which you can listen to below.
Speaking about the new release, Actress, real name Darren Cunningham, said: "The overall idea is for this to be a demonstration of the process and the philosophical action art of creating modern day electronic music. I create these sketches, essentially like the fabrics, and I collage them together... once I see the picture, it's embellished further and the process repeats."
The new record's release will follow a flurry of upcoming DJ dates that will see Actress play London's fabric alongside Mumdance, rRoxymore, DMX Krew and more; Amsterdam's De School alongside Octo Octa; RSO in Berlin alongside Afrodeutsche, Kush Jones and Mount Kimbie's Kai Campos; Nista in Barcelona; and Lisbon's Lux Fragil.
'Dummy Corporation' follows 2020 album 'Karma & Desire', and a recent collaboration with Mount Kimbie's Kai Campos, called 'AZD SURF'.
He also contributed a remix to Tirzah's 'Highgrade' remix album earlier this year.
