Amp Fiddler launches fundraiser for ongoing medical treatment following surgery

Amp Fiddler has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help him raise money for ongoing health treatment.

The Detroit artist underwent surgery for an unknown condition in August of this year, and is now recovering at home following months spent in hospital. He's hoping to raise $75,000 to "support his continued healing as he journeys back to the stage," according to a note on the GoFundMe campaign page.

An affiliate of Moodymann's Mahogani Music label, Amp Fiddler, real name Joseph Anthony Fiddler, has worked with the likes of George Clinton, Prince, Theo Parrish and lots more across his decades-long career. Mahogani Music released his most recent studio album, 'Amp Dog Knights', in 2017.
