Ana Quiroga has released a new album, ‘Azabache’. Listen to it below.

Out now on Houndstooth, the LP draws on Quiroga's "deep connection" to her homeland of Asturias, particularly its Celtic heritage as well as "the mines, minerals, and mystical feminine energy" of the region. 'Azabache' is described as "a sonic ritual and a homage to the inner strength of the self, ancestral ties, folk customs, and sacred charms."

The LP features bass guitar from Chris Norrish and additional vocals from Catalina Barceló. Listen to the album below and pick up a copy on Bandcamp here.

'Azabache', which was performed live as a visual conceptual show at this year's Sónar Barcelona in collaboration with artist Estela Oliva, will be released on clear vinyl.

'Azabache' follows Quiroga's previous releases for Editions Mego as electronic music duo LCC, as well as records for Nicolas Jaar’s Other People label and Modern Obscure Music.

In 2023, Houndstooth will also put out Aïsha's Devi first album in five years, 'Death Is Home'. In 2022, the label released the debut album from Wordcolour.
