ANNA releases new album, ‘Intentions’: Listen
The seven-track ambient album follows previous remixes by Max Cooper and Jon Hopkins
Lisbon-based, Brazil-born electronic artist and DJ ANNA, aka Anna Miranda, has released a new album, ‘Intentions’, via her new label Mercury KX. Listen to it below.
Recorded at ANNA's own Anaweh Studio, the seven-track ambient album features a melodic and expansive soundscape that directly references sound healing techniques.
The album was first announced in March this year, with the debut of the single ‘Receiving’ featuring Laraaj. The LP also features the single ‘I See Miracles Everywhere’, which was first shared in April, as well as ‘Let You In’ featuring East Forest, which dropped earlier this month.
The album follows previous remixes of ANNA's tracks by Max Cooper and Jon Hopkins. Off the back of remixing Orbital's classic 'Belfast,' ANNA teamed up with Hopkins last summer for a new version of the latter's 2021 track 'Deep In The Glowing Heart.
Alongside the LP, ANNA has written a listening guide encouraging listeners to set intentions for each track, each with its own distinct purpose.
Speaking on the album, ANNA said: “I’m a conduit in the creation of this album. I observed its formation, how the right energies and inputs and people enriched it for greater texture and meaning. But – INTENTIONS has its own aura, its own will on how it wants to be expressed in the world. Including how you – yes, you – uniquely receive it.”
