Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1 and Ruben De Ronde link up on new trance single, ‘Destination’: Listen
The official A State of Trance 2024 anthem was produced during a livestreamed studio session earlier this year
Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1 and Ruben De Ronde have joined forces for a new single, ‘Destination’, out today via Armada Music.
The collaborative track is the official anthem of A State of Trance (ASOT) 2024, and celebrates 1150 episodes of the brand’s acclaimed radio show.
‘Destination’ was made in June 2023 during a three-day livestreamed studio session that gave fans the opportunity to share feedback with the four artists whilst gaining rare insight into the production process. All sessions are available to watch back via YouTube.
“We’re still buzzing ourselves, to be honest,” shared the group. “Despite having been friends, colleagues and likeminded trance music enthusiasts for years, it took a while before we were finally able to do something like this with everyone in the same room; it was such a blast to finally get in the zone together and make this work, even more so because our fans were able to watch us live.”
The anthem also arrives ahead of the ASOT event series’ move into its new home in Rotterdam, after taking place in Utrecht for over a decade. The newly unveiled plans include broadening the event’s daytime programming with activities ranging from masterclasses and demo-drops to panels and artist Q&As.
Previous A State of Trance anthems include Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz’s ‘The Expedition’ (2013), Ben Gold’s ‘I’m In A State Of Trance’ (2020), and Armin van Buuren’s ‘Turn The World Into A Dancefloor’ (2021), released in celebration of A State of Trance 1000.
Earlier this year, van Buuren performed a double record-breaking set from the Burj Khalifa in collaboration with UNTOLD Dubai. The Dutch heavyweight DJ is also playing at Ushuaïa Ibiza every Sunday throughout September.
