Armin van Buuren produces official Euros anthem for the Dutch men's national football team

Armin van Buuren has produced the "official anthem" for the Dutch men's national football team ahead of this month's 2024 UEFA European Championship.

The track is titled 'Larger Than Life', and is a collaboration with the Dutch indie band Chef'Special. It also includes vocals from the Dutch men's national football squad called up for the tournament. You can listen to it below.

In a video documenting the making of the track, van Buuren said: "We came here with the band to write the Oranje anthem together. There has never been a song recorded with all the players of the Dutch national team. I think that's really fucking awesome!"

Speaking further about the track, Chef'Special said: "It's about the journey that hopefully leads to greatness, meaning something that’s bigger than ourselves. That process and that type of belief in one another can lift you up and make you feel larger than life."

The track is the first song to feature vocals from members of the men's national team since André Hazes' 'Wij Houden Van Oranje' in 1988.

Referencing that track, current coach Ronald Koeman said: "Back in 1988, I was an international player myself and among the many who featured on André Hazes' classic song. Not only was it fun to do, but it also instilled a strong sense of togetherness. I heard from the players that they too enjoyed contributing to the song."

UEFA Euro 2024 gets underway on Friday 14th June, and the Dutch team are first in action against Poland on Sunday 16th June.

Last month, van Buuren released the 21st edition of his annual 'A State Of Trance' mix series.

Back in February, van Buuren and Hardwell teased a new trance collaboration during a b2b set.
