Arts and culture fund for Black British creatives launched by London's Metallic Inc studio

MetallicFund aims to support upcoming artists with creative projects

Arts and culture fund for Black British creatives launched by London's Metallic Inc studio

London-based studio Metallic Inc. is bringing back its MetallicFund, an initiative which provides financial assistance to Black British creatives so that they can realise various projects.

This marks the third run of MetallicFund, and this year's initiative will see £60,000 being split between a number of artists and creative figures. South London rapper Louis Culture and online radio station No Signal are among those who've received funding from Metallic Inc. in the past.

"Community is the DNA of Metallic," said Metallic Inc. co-founder Grace Ladoja MBE in a statement. "We want the fund to be visible to the community outside of the people that know us personally, the community that are in the UK doing amazing things and want to get support from a company that is Black-owned and has an amazing network around it that can nurture them through mentorship."

Successful applicants will be notified in March, with applications open now via the MetallicFund website.
