AVA Festival announces Bicep, Nia Archives, Flowdan, more for 10th anniversary edition

AVA Festival has announced the first names on the bill for its 10th anniversary edition.

Returning to the Titanic Slipways in Belfast between 31st May and 1st June, the festival will mark a decade with a stacked line-up featuring Bicep's A/V DJ project Chroma, Nia Archives, Flowdan, Helena Hauff, Kerri Chandler, KI/KI, Barry Can't Swim, Horsegirl, Cromby, Sammy Virji and many more.

A year on from confirming its status as Belfast's rave haven for homegrown talent, the festival will also feature a host of local producers and DJs including Timmy Stewart, Holly Lester, Marion Hawkes, Jordan Nocturne, Emby, Crilli and more. With more TBA in the coming weeks, check out the current line-up below.

In a statement, AVA Festival founder Sarah McBriar said: “AVA represents a lot more than electronic music. It represents a community, a movement that started in Belfast that grew globally, of open-minded, creatively curious and adventurous souls uniting in a space where freedom of expression is encouraged. I’m proud of what it has become, and what it symbolises... this year will be special. See you at the docks!”

Tickets for AVA 2023 go on sale on Friday, 27th January at 10 AM.

This year, £1 of all ticket purchases will be donated to EarthPercent. Co-founded by Brian Eno, the climate action charity works with an expert panel of scientists and activists to identify and support some of the most impactful organisations addressing the climate and biodiversity emergency.

Featuring keynotes and panels from the likes of Brian Eno, Elijah and more, AVA London 2024 will take place between 29th February and 2nd March.

From 2022, revisit DJ Mag's feature on how AVA Festival created a second age of rave in Northern Ireland.
