Björk is narrating a new nature documentary about fungi. Watch the trailer below.
The Icelandic artist continues to explore the world of mushrooms following her 2022 album 'Fossora' by lending her voice to Fungi: The Web Of Life. Directed by Gisela Kaufmann and Joseph Nizeti, the documentary is about "the ways that fungi have shaped life on Earth for over a billion years". Composer Piers Burbrook de Vere leads film's score.
"A long dormant dream of mine to narrate a nature documentary has come to fruition", Björk shared on Instagram. "And I am blessed it is not just any but featuring the magnificent Merlin Sheldrake and about fungi. I hope you will enjoy this".
In the 2022 video for 'Fossora' single 'Atopos', Björk dances in a mushroom forest.
Fungi: The Web Of Life will be released in January at select cinemas and IMAX.
