Bonobo and Jacques Greene have teamed up on a new single, 'Fold'. Listen below.
Released via British musician and producer Simon Green aka Bonobo's Outlier label in partnership with Ninja Tune, the collaboration with Jacques doubles up as the first new music by Bonobo in 2023 and arrives one year after the release of his seventh studio album, 'Fragments'.
Coming one day after it was revealed that Bonobo will play this year's Field Day in London alongside the likes of Aphex Twin and Jayda G, the collaboration - the first-ever between the two - stems from Greene joining Bonobo on his 'Fragments' tour last summer.
“Phil (stage name Jacques Greene) was in LA and stopped by for a coffee and studio hang," says Green. "We made the bulk of the track that day. We each played a few various versions in our DJ sets over the summer (I even dropped it in a live show once) and made some decisions on how to finish it. It’s been going down really well in my DJ sets. Excited to get it out there finally."
The release of 'Fold' comes ahead of this year's Grammy Awards on 6th February, where Bonobo is nominated for two awards: Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for 'Fragments' and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for 'Rosewood'.
